In keeping up with the tradition of exuding masculinity and strength men?s cologne is typically made up of fewer sweet smells. it is typically made from ingredients such as Fougere, Spicy and Woody diluted oils and alcohol. Cologne is not designed to last longer than a day so daily application is needed in order to keep the scent going. It is important to remember that when applying cologne only a moderate amount should be used, as too much cologne, like too much perfume, can turn a nice scent into an overwhelming, nauseating experience.

Most discount perfume and cologne can be purchased at any retail store you frequent and especially at outlet malls. Depending upon how much you are willing to pay for you usually find that the more expensive the product is, the stronger the fragrance is. If you are just wanting to smell nice and aren?t? worried about wearing a popular, trendy fragrance then you can usually find a discounted perfume or cologne at any drug store or retail shop. But, bear in mind, the cheaper the fragrance the more you will have to apply to get the desired effect. Cheaper perfume will also fade faster then a more expensive brand. When it comes to purchasing discount perfume and cologne the choice is up to you to decide how much you want to spend and if the scent will not be too overpowering.

One of the easiest and simplest ways to find the kind of discontinued perfumes you are looking for is to ask your mother. Chances are she may have some bottles of perfume that are layered with dust or pushed to the back of her closet that are no longer sold in stores. In this instance she will probably be more than happy to pass on her discontinued fragrance to you.

If you happen to have a mall that contains a store just for perfumes and fragrances you can walk in and ask them for a certain scent on the chance that they may still carry it or have one stored in their back room.

Types of Discontinued Perfume

The major types of discontinued fragrances are mainly those that were no longer selling as well as others or maybe have come and gone with the fashion of that era. Fragrances such as Coty Wild Musk, Red Satin and Jergens Spray are examples of discontinued perfume that may sell on Ebay but you will not be able to find in your shopping mall or department store.

If you own a discontinued fragrance and still want to wear what you have then it is best to consider how your co-workers or family members will react to your choice of scent. A lot of times, because it is outdated, the perfume may not be as appealing as it once was so consider if others will be enjoy your vintage perfume. However, most important is how you feel about it, of course. Just as you collect old dolls, discontinued perfume does not have to be forgotten just because it fell out of style. You can still own a bottle of your favorite perfume and not have to waiver to the trends of today.
